Kurk wordt gemaakt van de schors van de kurkeik Cork is made from the bark of the cork oak and is one of the most sustainable products available. Because cork contains air, it is lighter than water and heat-insulating. Cork allows virtually no air to pass through and is highly elastic. Furthermore, the material is anti-static, sound-damping and moisture-resistant and naturally repels bacteria. The cork comes from Portugal (Algarve region). The Portuguese cork is of the best quality.
